On Sunday, March 16, 2008, Hidden Oaks Nature Center will reveal the ways in which animals and their young are equipped to catch a meal while avoiding becoming someone else's feast. Speed, protective coloring, patterning and mimicking are all popular survival strategies. Meet and greet the residing animals of Hidden Oaks and learn which wildlife tactics they utilize. An entertaining and instructional slideshow will teach viewers the four primary 'tricks' used by animals such as birds, tigers, and even tropical insects. Following the slideshow, children will practice their knowledge through role playing activities and a hunt for camouflaged animals hidden throughout the nature center.
